SHOE COLLECTION - SANDALS

I thought I'd start a shoe collection series and since we're nearing the end of Summer I'm showing my sandals to you. Not all of them are still available but I'll try to link the ones that are.

These are a pair of block heel sandals that I got from River Island last year and this style has been so useful as I can wear these to work but the thick and short heels makes them bearable! For a similar pair from ASOS click here (in the SALE!).

These were the real leather sandals I mentioned in my What I Pack for Summer post and they are now in the SALE for only £10 so grab them while you can because on holiday they went with every outfit I wore in the day and night. At first the front rubbed inbetween my toes but you just have to wear them in a few times and then they feel really nice because of the real leather.

If this isn't your colour, there are plenty of colours in New Look in the Sale also!

After I took these pictures I finally got some Havaianas which are miles better than these Superdry flip flops. I find these extremely uncomfortable to wear because of the indentation of the logo - it just feels bizarre. Plus the thick straps are too thick and obnoxious. They're around the same price as Havaianas, maybe a little less but it's worth the few extra pounds for comfier and prettier flip flops!

These Birkenstock look-a-like's are trashed by now however they are the comfiest shoes ever. I got them from Primark and they still sell them in different colours. Because of the nude colour it makes them more elegant and elongates your legs. Having said this, I wish I had a pair of real birks although they are more expensive when these were only £4! You can use them for walks, down the beach and even out for a casual dinner and there are a selection of styles and colours to choose from.

Keep your eyes peeled for a festival post next week. Enjoy your weekend!

Holiday Outfits!

I arrived back from Spain not too long ago and I thought in this blog post I would share with you some of the outfits I wore and loved!

Kimono & Skort - New Look. Shoes - River Island. Sunnies - Urban Outfitters.

Although it was extremely hot, I had to whip out the kimono! The bright colour of the skort matched perfectly with one of the colours from the kimono and of course these shoes go with anything and everything:P As a top I wore just a simple black crop top from H&M.

Bralette - Spanish Market. Shorts - Vintage Guess. Shoes - Primark. Sunnies - Urban Outfitters.

This outfit is one that I still wear back at home (if the weather's nice enough:P). It's so simple but the detailing of the lace makes it more complex I guess. It's so comfortable and easy to throw on so this was a reoccurring look throughout the holiday.

Crop Top - Topshop. Crochet shorts - Spanish Market. Shoes - River Island.

I found this a very cute outfit that could be worn day to night. I love the bright Coral crop to make a statement paired with a more neutral pair of shorts. I love the mixture of textures and patterns also!

Dress - Gilly Hicks (old). Shoes - River Island.

I posted this picture on my Instagram the other day as I love this floral print on the skirt of the dress. I got this dress a few years ago and only now I'm starting to wear it more often. It helps give me some shape in the hip area and the short waist accentuates my waist without cutting me up and making me look shorter.

That's it for this post, let me know which outfit is your favourite and see you soon! x

Fashion/Beauty Summer Essentials!

It's officially Summer here in the UK. Can you believe it? The sun is beaming, the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming. Because of this unexpected heat, there have had to be some obvious changes to the wardrobe - shorts, bikinis etc. But I'm not going to talk about the obvious essentials (sunglasses excused), only the small details that are essential to my outfits and how I get the ideas.

The Magazine - This is Elle magazine peeping through all of the accessories and polishes there! This is probably my favourite magazine as it incorporates High Fashion with High Street so there's always something for someone. Their High Street Edit shows that you can use more affordable clothes and turn it into an incredibly fashionable outfit!

The Sunglasses - I really love these sunglasses. Simple, black, quite chic and cool at the same time. They were from Urban Outfitters and were £16. The quality is really good so I don't need to worry about them breaking anytime soon! And of course, they're sunglasses so definitely an essential for Summer!

The Flower Crown - The 70's Hippy trend is back and the flowers on the High Street are looking better than ever, I must say! I have my eye on one in River Island, but haven't had the time to go and buy it so I can only show you if you click here (I know they're a child's accessory but I have quite a small head and I really love the flowers on it:P). Nonetheless, I do have a flower crown for Primark which was £2 I think - such a bargain! It's really pretty and you can mold it slightly to fit your head. The colour's are lovely and will go with  lots of outfits!

The Nail Polish - This is probably my favourite nail polish for Summer this year. It's the Rimmel I Love Lasting Finish in 501 Fancy A Dip? - The colour of this is so beautiful, the perfect cornflower blue mixed with a tiny bit of lilac. The finish is really amazing considering this is only £2.99! It gives a nice shine to the nails when painted and I think this will work with many different skin tones!

That concludes my Summer Essentials post. I hope you had a wonderful weekend with the sunshine!

The Shoes of Summer's Dreams!

I find it hard to express my feelings and emotions about these beauties. They aren't everyone's cup of tea I'm sure. But personally, they are definitely my cup of tea!

I originally wanted a pair of jelly shoes because they're very sweet and would go with everything. However, as I neared the shoe section in River Island, I caught sight of these. I tried them on and instantly fell for them but since it was the first shop I went to on my shopping trip, I made the classic decision - check in other shops to see if you like anything better. Well, nothing compared to these. I honestly couldn't stop thinking about them, this meant I had to get them!

These shoes seem to combine so many things, a mixture of trends and my style. The block heel, cut-out sandal style are the two main trends. Because of my skinny ankles, I was afraid of wearing a big, black, chunky shoe as I thought it would be too much on me. So when I saw this lovely, blush-pink colour with a white heel it was my ideal shoe!

I love how versatile these shoes are, you can wear them with everything because of its neutral colour,on-trend style and day-to-night elegance. They were £35 which I was pleased about because they're lovely quality and I know I'll get so much wear out of them!

If they aren't your cup of tea, I highly recommend River Island for Summer shoes anyway!

Hope you had a lovely weekend in the sun!
