Top 3 Handbags/Purses!

As many girls, I own way too many handbags. However, not all of them are still in style or ones that I particularly like:P So I thought I'd write a blog post about my Top 3 favourite handbags and purses.

No. 3 - My Vintage Diesel Clutch. I absolutely love this clutch, I think it's so gorgeous and quite quirky with the faded details so I've gotten really quite a lot of ware out of this. I'm not much of a clutch-in-the-day kind of girl but with this bag, I feel comfortable enough to do so! This clutch was featured in my last blog post, so click here to see how I styled it! As I said, it's vintage therefore I have no idea of the price or where to purchase it from unfortunately.

No. 2 - I won't go on much about this bag since I wrote a whole blog post on it. But it's my Big Beautiful Backpack. Although this has only recently entered my life I know it will stay in it for a long time! The colour is perfect for styling all year round and the backpack style makes everything more convenient and practical! Accessorize - £35.

No. 1 - I don't think I've ever mentioned this bag in a blog post before but it's my go-to, black handbag from H&M. This bag is so spacious, so chic & so wearable. I'm not certain if this bag is still available but I highly recommend H&M for affordable but really nice quality handbags as I know plenty of people who love their bags from this store. I'm sure this bag will make an appearance throughout the next year as it's even wearable during the Spring & Summer!

How to: Style Mom Jeans!

I am in love with my newest pair of jeans - Vintage Levi 501's (yes, the ones on the famous advert from the 80's). Although they aren't classified mom jeans (they're quite fitted on the bum area:P), I've rolled them up to give the effect of them cupping at the bottom, much like mom jeans do.

In this post I will be showing you two ways to style these jeans - Day & Night - Enjoy!

Above you will see the casual, daytime outfit. I popped on a black knit cropped jumper for H&M and my new Skate style shoes from River Island that fit under the umbrella of the 'Luxe Skate Shoe and Trainer' trend - I love the snake skin effect on these!

To accessorize, I put on some silver bracelets which were a gift so I'm not sure where from unfortunately. I thought they both complimented each other nicely and weren't too much for this casual style. For my bag, I just wore my Accessorize backpack (more pictures here) as it fits everything I need in it and adds to the relaxed feel.

Apologies for the quality of this picture - it was in fact taken at night on a phone:P

For the night time I chose to wear a velvet crop top by an independent designer (now unavailable) and my bomber jacket on top - quite an edgy look on top. For shoes I wore my sandals from Primark since a strappy shoe is lovely for the evening. To accessorize, I went very minimal with my Vintage Diesel clutch.

I hope you enjoyed this post and that it helped you in some way to style your mom jeans!

August Favourites!

I thought I'd start doing a favourite's post every month with 3 categories to it; beauty, fashion and random/extra. So let's get cracking!

My beauty favourite for last month is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer! I think it's safe to say that I'm VERY late on this one but I've been using other concealers instead which, quite frankly, don't match up to this one! A little bit goes a long way therefore this product will last me a while - amazing value! I like to use it to cover up and dark circles and I've loved it as it's saved my tired eyes in the mornings!

The fashion item I've really been loving in August is my Gilly Hicks dress which I didn't give enough love to to start with but as I discussed in my Holiday Outfits post, I really love the fit of it now and I've tried to get as much wear as possible out of it for the end of Summer!

My final favourite is a music one - The 1975. Now, I've loved this band for a long time, but this past Summer, I've really loved them. My favourite songs from their album has got to be Robbers and Girls although I do love them all but those songs hit it out of the park for me!

That is it for my favourites for the month of August and I hope you enjoyed!

Bye Bye Guess Shorts!

No, I am not selling or giving away my favourite shorts - no need to worry! This is the last addition to the Guess Series on my blog. With Summer coming to an end, especially here in the UK with the Autumnal weather well on its way, I thought I would add one more outfit to the collection!

I paired the shorts with this cute crop top that I got from republic a few years ago, my New Backpack and my 'Birkenstocks' look-a-like sandals to give a relaxed, effortless feel to this outfit! I can't forget the sunglasses from Urban Outfitters which always complete any of my Summer outfits!

This outfit has been recurring this Summer for me as it's so easy and the accessorizing is very minimal making this look easy to dress up or down. I hope you enjoyed the Guess Series, let me know which outfit was your favourite (I'll link them all below) and thank you for reading!

Big Beautiful Backpack!

Another purchase from Accessorize! The quality of the bags - despite them being faux leather - are fantastic and since I got SO much wear out of my Summer Handbag whilst still maintaining its quality and shape, it was time for another purchase:P

I've never been the biggest fan of rucksacks, to me they used to be something 'practical' that seemed logical to take to school but I never really liked. However, seeing so many bloggers style this type of bag so nicely, I was quickly hooked!

It's like a Tardis - it may not look that large at first glance, but when opened up it actually has lots of room for all sorts of crap that us women (and possibly men) carry around with us as a shield. Because of its neutral colour I think it'll be easy to style all year round! ('How to' styling post coming soon).

Another reason why this is such a useful bag - it'll be great for back to school, plenty of room for books, maybe not big lever arch files but I'm sure we can all handle that:P

That's all I have to say about this accessory for now, but keep an eye out for a styling blog post by following me on Bloglovin' - #shamelessselfpromo. Cheerio!

Holiday Outfits!

I arrived back from Spain not too long ago and I thought in this blog post I would share with you some of the outfits I wore and loved!

Kimono & Skort - New Look. Shoes - River Island. Sunnies - Urban Outfitters.

Although it was extremely hot, I had to whip out the kimono! The bright colour of the skort matched perfectly with one of the colours from the kimono and of course these shoes go with anything and everything:P As a top I wore just a simple black crop top from H&M.

Bralette - Spanish Market. Shorts - Vintage Guess. Shoes - Primark. Sunnies - Urban Outfitters.

This outfit is one that I still wear back at home (if the weather's nice enough:P). It's so simple but the detailing of the lace makes it more complex I guess. It's so comfortable and easy to throw on so this was a reoccurring look throughout the holiday.

Crop Top - Topshop. Crochet shorts - Spanish Market. Shoes - River Island.

I found this a very cute outfit that could be worn day to night. I love the bright Coral crop to make a statement paired with a more neutral pair of shorts. I love the mixture of textures and patterns also!

Dress - Gilly Hicks (old). Shoes - River Island.

I posted this picture on my Instagram the other day as I love this floral print on the skirt of the dress. I got this dress a few years ago and only now I'm starting to wear it more often. It helps give me some shape in the hip area and the short waist accentuates my waist without cutting me up and making me look shorter.

That's it for this post, let me know which outfit is your favourite and see you soon! x

Skater Style!

Before last year, all that I could recollect about 'skater style' was Avril Lavigne's 'Skater Boy' music video back in the early noughties! But it seems that this style that we used to look back at and laugh (as we do with every old fashion trend) has now made a return.

Of course it isn't the spitting image of that music video since fashion basics have changed and the look would turn from retro to just plain old-fashioned. But what I see nowadays is that mainstream high street stores are taking hints from skate brands such as Vans so that they can incorporate skate style into Sports Luxe.

I am not a skater myself:P I squeal as soon as I get on the board and start to move - literally. However, the Sports Luxe trend has given us all an excuse to pretend. As I discussed in my Personal Style post (a long while back!) a good way to get your style is to incorporate trends into what you like to wear and what you feel comfortable in. This is what I do... most of the time.

For instance, instead of going all out with the hats and the boyfriend jeans I'll opt for my baggy, Guess Shorts as they have a rugged look to the them which gives and edge, I feel. To pair with them I'll wear my Vans in my favourite colour - royal blue to incorporate me into the outfit.

Another thing I like to do which has been seen on Tumblr very much this past year, I take a boy's tartan shirt (I think it's called a Flannel in the US?) and just tie it around my waist which helps with the look and also accentuates the waist - always something I love to do!

Also I think baggy jumpers or tops are quite skater style and I LOVE this one by Holly Fulton to pair with these Eytys, Vans inspired skate shoes - the colour is gorgeous!
